The January meeting was packed with exciting updates, announcements, and plans for the year ahead. Here’s a recap of the key highlights and important dates to keep on your radar.


Member Announcements

  • Craft Mountain Brewing on "The Blox"
    Congratulations to Craft Mountain Brewing, which will be featured in Season 15 of
    The Blox , a captivating entrepreneurial reality show. They’ll be showcasing their innovative boxed beer concept—don’t miss it!
  • Get Along Gadgets Class by Aging Services Consultants, LLC
    Audrey Krebs is hosting a Get Along Gadgets assistive technology class on January 23rd at 2 PM at the Bailey Library. This life hack class will offer valuable tools and tips for improved daily living.
  • American Legion Meeting
    The American Legion will be holding a meeting on Thursday, 1/16 at 6:00 pm. Location is the Shepherd of the Rockies Lutheran Church at 106 Rosalie Road. Food will be provided.
  • Kudos to Bill Bruner
    A big thank you to Bill Bruner for successfully working with CDOT to save parking in front of 2 Dad’s Restaurant, preserving accessibility for customers and the community. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, Bill!

Community Updates

Park County Grant for Bailey Access Improvement s
Park County has been awarded a $1.2 million grant to fund an engineering study focused on improving public access and safety in Bailey. The study will explore solutions such as sidewalks and a pedestrian overpass. This project is expected to enhance safety and mobility in the area.

Chamber Goals for 2025

  1. Visitor Center in Bailey
    The Chamber is exploring a commitment from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to provide space at the Community Center (85 Main Street) for a Visitor Center. The preferred location is the Annex building near the driveway entrance.
  2. Platte Canyon Foundation
    The Chamber is forming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Platte Canyon Foundation, to manage scholarships and apply for grants to support the Bailey area. Volunteers are needed for the foundation’s board. If interested, reach out to the Chamber.
  3. Town Hall Meeting
    A Town Hall Meeting is planned for late February/early March, facilitated by the Chamber.

  5. Health Services District
  6. Recreation District
  7. Chamber Website Enhancements
    Efforts are underway to improve member entries on the Chamber website, creating a searchable directory of local businesses—both home-based and brick-and-mortar.
  8. Home-Based Business Networking
    Monthly meetings for home-based business members and prospective members will begin on Wednesday, February 19th, at 6 PM in the Bailey Library Community Room. This is a great opportunity to connect with the Chamber and explore membership benefits.

Upcoming Events

Chamber Mixer
Join us for the next Chamber Mixer on Tuesday, January 21st, from 5:30–7:30 PM at Craft Mountain Brewing (formerly Mad Jack’s). Non-members are welcome to attend this networking event.
